Dear Ready Teddy Families,
As you may have noticed, we have begun construction on our new gym renovation! We are excited to bring this incredible addition to the community, which will include a dedicated and secure entrance for Ready Teddy. To ensure a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process during construction, we will be implementing a drive-through drop-off and pick-up procedure starting Monday, March 23. We will continue to closely assess this process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure it works smoothly for everyone. If you have any feedback please feel free to share it with us.
What You Need to Do Now
All families must be set up in Brightwheel prior to Monday.
- If you have not yet registered, you will receive a reminder email today
- Once registered, you will have access to your child’s check-in information
- Instructions are attached to help guide you through the process
Who This Applies To
- Morning 8:30 am 3-Year-Old classes
- PreK classes
This does not apply to:
- Room 102 (Mrs. Fadool & Mrs. Graf)
- Afternoon Room 105 (Mrs. Beyer)
Families in these classes should continue to park in reserved spaces and walk their children inside.
Drop-Off Procedures
Drop-Off Time:
8:20 – 8:45 am
8:20 – 8:45 am
If you arrive after 8:45 am, please park as available and walk your child into the building.
Arrival Process:
- Cars will line up along Barnsdale Road
- When directed, you will enter the parking lot
- Have your Brightwheel app open and on the Check in/out screen. Scan the QR Code.
- Staff will be outside to guide traffic and assist with the process
At Drop-Off:

Parents must unbuckle their child (staff cannot assist with this)
- Staff will escort your child into the building
- Your child will be greeted by their teacher or classroom aide and taken to their room
Pick-Up Procedures
Pick-up will follow a similar drive-through process.
- Enter the parking lot when it is your turn
- Have your Brightwheel app open and on the Check in/out screen. Scan the QR Code.
- Staff will verify your child and bring them to your vehicle
- Parents are responsible for buckling their child into their seat
- Staff will assist with flow and safety
Traffic Flow & Exit Route
After drop-off or pick-up:
- Exit north on Barnsdale Road
- Turn left on 26th Street
- Continue to Forest Road
Staff will be present to help guide traffic and keep the line moving as efficiently as possible.
Important Reminders
- Please have your child ready before reaching the front of the line
- Parents must remain with their vehicle at all times
- Staff cannot assist with unbuckling or buckling children
We anticipate some delays, especially during the first few days, and appreciate your patience as we work through this new process.
A Note on Timing & Flexibility
We recognize that Barnsdale Road may experience some congestion during this time. Our goal is to keep the line moving as safely and efficiently as possible while ensuring a smooth transition for all children. We will continue to evaluate and adjust this procedure as needed over the coming weeks.
