To help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, all playgrounds, the basketball courts at Memorial Park, and indoor facilities are closed to the public as of March 20 until further notice.
Please know that park district staff will be working during normal business hours Monday through Friday to answer your questions, take program registration, and return voicemails.
The Community Park District, has postponed or cancelled all recreational programming from Tuesday, March 17 through Thursday, April 30. This includes Ready Teddy Preschool and Footlight Players rehearsals. For these programs specifically, our staff is working diligently to create at home activities and ways to help minimize the impact of an extended break. We will continue to closely follow announcements and directives from local, state, and federal authorities, as we try to determine when to resume normal operations.
To protect those most vulnerable to serious illness and slow the transmission of COVID-19, we have also cancelled the April 4 Easter Egg Hunt, and all senior programming until May 1. The performance of Seussical Jr. has been postponed until further notice.
We have also cancelled all room rentals through April 30.
As the Community Park District Summer Brochure is scheduled to be delivered during this time, we encourage you to use our phone and online registration options as you schedule your summer activities. We will make every effort to ensure that staff is available during regular operational hours to answer any questions you may have.
Please understand that as information evolves regarding COVID-19, these dates may change. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate program specifics as they develop. Please watch your email and check back here for updates.
