Join your neighbors for this fun community challenge and build your own scarecrow. Make yours scary or funny, silly or ridiculous. This is your chance to express yourself. The contest is open to everyone but you must register in order to compete. Judging will take place between October 18th-23rd. The Winner will be featured on our Fall 2024 Brochure cover. You may pick up your scarecrow starter kit at the Recreation Center anytime after 10/2.
Contest Rules:
Use your imagination to select a theme for the scarecrow, such as traditional, contemporary, or humorous. Or make your scarecrow whimsical, frightening, funny, or sad, for example.
- All entrants agree to allow use of their name(s) and photos for promotional purposes.
- Any materials may be used but use of perishable foods is discouraged.
- Your display may have more than one figure or props If needed to interpret your theme but must include the scarecrow provided.
- Scarecrows must be in good taste, ‘family friendly’ and constructed to withstand the weather.
- Participants are responsible for keeping their scarecrows in good viewing and picture-taking condition through judging.

Once your scarecrow has been completed & installed for display, please take a photo & send it to szander@communityparkdistrict.org to be entered into our judging pool. Please include your name & address.
