April 4th Referendum Results

Good Morning - We want to thank each and every one of you that took the time to get out and vote! La Grange Park residents nearly doubled the turnout from the 2021 consolidated election, which is incredible.
While the results are not official, residents of La Grange Park approved a $10.7 million bond measure to expand the recreation center and build a gym here in La Grange Park.
Unfortunately, the tax rate increase that would have cost residents owning a $300,000 home approximately $36/year, was not approved. The purpose of the limiting rate increase was to generate an additional $150,000 per year in operational revenue which would have provided the start up funding for the first year of operations at an expanded recreation center as well as support regular maintenance and improvements in your parks.
The election will be certified on April 25. After that, the Community Park District Board and staff will review all the district's options, and work to refine the park district's future operational plan to provide sustainable programming and phased park improvements for the community.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call 708-354-4580.
