The Community Park District of La Grange Park partners with SEASPAR (the South East Association for Special Parks And Recreation) to provide recreational programs and services to our residents with disabilities.

SEASPAR offers year-round recreational programming for all ages, from early childhood to adult, including sports, fitness, arts and crafts, music, day camps, dances, trips, Special Olympics training, and more!

Special programs are also offered for specific groups in our area. For example, SEASPAR offers an adult day program called EAGLES, and one of the three sites for this program is located in Brookfield. SEASPAR also partners with La Grange Memorial Hospital to offer the Stroke Support Group, which provides educational and recreational resources to those who have had a stroke along with their families and friends.

SEASPAR’s programs and events are offered throughout the west and southwest suburbs and beyond, but La Grange Park residents have a special benefit – transportation to many of SEASPAR’s events is available at the nearby Denning Park in La Grange. This allows our residents to take advantage of SEASPAR’s offerings across the area without having to travel very far!

In addition to La Grange Park, SEASPAR serves the park districts of Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, LaGrange, Lemont, Lisle, Westmont, and Woodridge, and the villages of Brookfield, Indian Head Park, and Western Springs. Anyone residing in these incorporated entities may participate in SEASPAR programs.
