Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and the Community Park District of La Grange Park is lucky to feature some of the best courts available right in Memorial Park. The district is also installing additional courts as part of the Yena Park improvement project, and these courts will be open as early as May of 2027. We know that pickleball offers a multitude of social, emotional and physical benefits, but as the sport grows, so does the sound it creates.
The Community Park District is working on developing innovative sound mitigation solutions for both Memorial and Yena Parks, including sound dampening panels and improved landscaping. However, these solutions come with a steep price tag and the district is reaching out to the pickleball community and residents of La Grange Park to help support this project. The district is looking to raise at least $20,000 (half of the anticipated project cost) by the spring 2026 pickleball season.
All funds donated to the Pickleball Court Improvement project will be earmarked for this project specifically. Click here to donate to the Pickleball Court Improvement Project today!

Help us turn up the HEAT at Community Park Fitness. The Community Park District acquired this boutique fitness center in August of 2025. Our board of commissioners have directed staff to ensure that it runs independently, without reliance on tax dollars. Our team has worked diligently to make the facility improvements needed to best serve our members, including equipment repairs, remodeling, locker room plumbing repairs, deep cleaning, painting, floor replacement, and more.
The old facility featured steam showers that have been decommissioned. The Community Park District would like to gut, repair, and renovate those spaces into infrared saunas to improve our members' wellness experiences and journeys. As our membership grows, the park district will allocate available facility revenues to this project as well. The more we raise, the faster we can make this project a reality!
All funds donated to the Turn Up the Heat Campaign will be earmarked for this project specifically. We hope to begin this project in 2027. Click here to donate today to the Turn Up the Heat for Saunas at Community Park Fitness
