Splash Pad Update (5/31/2024):
Unfortunately, during our required annual backflow inspection, a malfunction was identified in a relief valve and we are required to close the splash pad until it is fixed. The part is ordered, and we anticipate being fully operational on Monday.

What is Backflow? Backflow is when contaminated water has reversed flow and entered clean water lines. It can occur at any cross-connection between clean and dirty water lines and is typically caused by a significant change in water pressure —such as from a burst water main. The dirty water may contain hazardous materials, so it poses a serious health concern.

Municipal code requires annual backflow testing to identify typically undetectable issues such as this in order to protect LGP's water and our residents.

We will be back up and running as soon as possible!

Meadowcrest Property:

Should the Park District attempt to acquire the property at 1150 Meadowcrest Road for the purposes of public open space and recreation?

With resident support, the Community Park District has applied for a LWCF Grant to fund the acquisition of 1150 Meadowcrest. We anticipate notification of funding by September 2024.
