NEW! Softball Camps
This camp is for both beginner and experienced softball players that will provide your child with a better knowledge of base running, catching, throwing & field position. Campers will learn how to play each position effectively with instructional focus on base coverage and infield/outfield teamwork. Offensive skills will be developed through proper hitting and swing techniques. Campers will also learn the basic fundamentals of pitching mechanics, grip, stride, and release. Players should bring a water bottle to camp every day. A softball glove is required.

Private Baseball/Softball Lessons
Coach: Emma Garcia
These private lessons are designed to help players learn and improve their skills. The first lesson is always dedicated to getting to know the player, his or her goals, and assessing skills. From developing basic hitting, fielding, and base running skills to honing specialized strategies for different positions and game situations, these lessons are perfect for all levels. Please note: Pitching lessons are available for softball only.

Emma Garcia is a student at the University of Illinois Springfield and is a member of the Division II softball program. She is a utility player and has experience playing all positions on the field, specializing in catching, first/third base, and outfield. Emma works with the LaGrange Challengers teaching kids with special needs the fundamentals of baseball and served as the assistant coach for the Tinley Park Rockers 12u team. Emma is committed to developing player’s fundamentals in order to build confidence and give players the ability to play relaxed knowing they have the tools they need to be successful.

How to Register
Email email@example.com with your name, the name of the student, your email, and phone number and our staff will contact you to schedule.
Students will be required to bring their own equipment. We will have 15-minutes scheduled between each lesson for necessary cleaning and disinfection and will be adhering to CDC and IDPH guidelines. While we will not require students to wear masks while they play, we do ask that they arrive to class wearing one.
CANCELLING A PRIVATE LESSON
Due to the high demand for this program, you must request a cancellation AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time in order to receive a make-up lesson (for definition of a make-up lesson, please see below). To cancel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 708-354-4580.
No shows or failure to notify the park district within 24 hours is considered a forfeited lesson:
- The full amount will be charged for no-shows or cancellations that are not received within 24 hours.
- There will be a $10 service charge for each cancelled/refunded private lessons (this fee does not apply if you reschedule your lesson at the time of cancellation).
MAKE UP LESSONS
Private lessons cancelled at least 24 hours ahead will receive a make-up lesson at a time convenient to both the teacher and the student. Typically, make-up lessons take place at an alternate time/day within the week.
